My recent writing credits include Netflix's Disco Inferno, and an in-development feature that scored a 7/10 on The Black List. My latest short, Falling Forward, was selected for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Over my fifteen-year career, I have created work for major clients like Disney, Google, and Viceland, along with developing a strange, violent stop-motion world from the mind of Tyler, the Creator. I co-founded the Bureau of Creative Works and have executive-produced numerous award-winning short films. I also occasionally share deep-dive insights on the craft of screenwriting through 20,000 Words.

A self-taught filmmaker, I began with For Thousands of Miles, which director Rodrigo Reyes (Lupe Under The Sun) called "a visually stunning reflection on coming-of-age and exploring the vast promise of the American landscape." The documentary was inspired by my own 4,200-mile cross-country bicycle trip, was selected for the IFP Labs in NYC, and features an original score by Eluvium.

I currently live just west of Detroit with my immensely talented wife, Erica Hampton, where we run Firewatch Studio, and help run a community garden at an abandoned correctional facility.
